God finishes what He starts

Last night, Kieren and I went outside to look at the vast array of stars in the sky, outside our home, and just stared in wonder at the various constellations that we could see, but I was also in awe of what we couldn’t see

I love that humanity is continuing to discover new things that God created in the world, for us. After all, He is the Supreme Creator, Who within those seven days of creation, didn’t start anything, that was not seen through to completion

That then made me think about the Scripture found in Philippians 1:6. We are told time and time again that we were made in the image of God (Genesis 1:26-27) that we are being made more and more like Christ as we journey with the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 4:22-24) but also that, there will be a time where we receive the fullness of this (1 John 3:2)

I am so thankful that God continues to work in me until I meet Him face-to-face

Friends, whether you believe it or not, God’s work for us began when Christ died on the cross in our place. Yet, His work in us began when we gave our life to Him

Yet, how many of us still find it hard to feel that we are making progress in our Spiritual lives? I want to encourage us this morning, that as God’s creation, that when He starts a project, He finishes it! Therefore, when we feel discouraged, remember that God will never give up on us. When we feel incomplete, remember God’s promises

Today, do not let present conditions rob us of the joy of knowing Christ or keep us from growing closer to Him, because as we continue to press into God, He will show us, just like the stars, who we are, one Galaxy at a time
