My goodness, this quote speaks to me, from Martin Luther King Jr., in so many ways because in my opinion, it reflects the heart of the Father
God’s hope for us is that we pick up our cross and follow Jesus because it leads straight back to Him, and thus being able to have that intimate relationship with the Father, that we were created for
Have you ever thought that when we lose heart about the things God has placed inside of us…our dreams…our passions…or things like the righteous anger that burns within, from the injustice of society…I believe it means that we have allowed a piece of us to die that ultimately brings revelation of the Father, to others
Friends, we are all purposed with greatness in God. It breaks my heart that God’s children die without fulfilling their dreams and destiny’s, but worst, that they die walking away from God because they decided that the things placed inside of them were either too much to accomplish, or that they just didn’t see a way…so frustration turned to anger…anger turned to hopelessness…and hopelessness turned them away from God
Martin Luther King Jr. had it right when he said that we need to speak up about the things that matter to us, simply because they matter to God
We need to realise that if God has imparted a vision of our lives in our heart, then we have a choice to either run that race with God or to bumble through the wilderness. We are not alive by chance, and God certainly didn’t create us to simply ”be a good citizen.”
So, what breaks your heart? What passions for are left unfulfilled? What makes you burn with righteous anger?
I pray that you will spend some time with God, today, and allow Him to show you the blueprint of smashing those goals to help others…speaking out for that cause…or simply being the light in this dark world
Yet, lastly, whatever He shows you, and whatever you decide to pursue – do it for God’s glory and make a difference in your world
“Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves; ensure justice for those being crushed. Yes, speak up for the poor and helpless, and see that they get justice.”
Proverbs 31:8-9
