Remembering God’s Promises

There are times when I wonder what is going to happen in my life.

There are times when everything seems stagnant, and then there are times when it is hard to keep up with the acceleration of change.

Yet, no matter what the season, I know that God’s promises will never return void!

I love the quote from D.L.Moody because sometimes we do question God’s goodness for our lives.

We can see throughout the Bible that ever since Abram, people have questioned God.

”How, Lord?” – How is this going to happen…

How can a woman who has gone through menopause and in her nineties, give birth to a child?

How can one man alone build a huge ark that will save his whole family, and all of the different kind of God’s creatures?

How can a shepherd become King?

How can a man die and take away our sins?

”How, Lord?”

Sometimes we don’t get to know the how, or the why. Yet, we can take hold of the promises of God, and claim them for our own lives…

Friends, we need to remember that God is good, all the time. Now, whether we understand that, is kind of irrelevant (bear with me) because regardless of our understanding, God’s promises will never change

We need to stop trying to pick apart everything that God has said about us. Every promise that He has made.

We need to try and let go of needing all the details before we will step out in faith and obedience

So today, I pray, that when we read God’s promises. It will no longer be ”how” or ”when” or ”why” in our minds, but ”yes, and amen!” as we prophetically declare these things and believe God, over our limited understanding

For the mountains may move and the hills disappear, but even then my faithful love for you will remain. My covenant of blessing will never be broken,” Isaiah‬ ‭54:10‬
