Do you know why I love this verse in Scripture? Because it shows we were part of God’s wisdom.
In our “rich variety” that the human race is, God knew that the world needed not only you and I but also the church that we each attend and the people that we fellowship with, in order to orchestrate God’s purpose for each of us.
Imagine being an angelic-being and everything is great in Heaven, and then all of a sudden there is a meeting one day about God’s purpose for creating humanity and now, you not only realise, that these humans will be above you in the pecking order, but actually they are going to destroy themselves – more than once – and God still says that it’s an amazing idea!
This actually makes me giggle because these angels have been watching God’s plan unfold since before the beginning of time, and I can imagine that they must have thought more than once by now, “really?”
Yet, God’s wisdom is perfect because His eternal plan was accomplished in and through Jesus. It’s always been about Him and one day, we will see the climax of this beautiful love story unfold, because God’s purpose was His church, and I cannot wait for the heavenly realms to watch Jesus’ Bride glorify Him in its entirety.
