During the Jewish Festivals, it is custom for people to dance, with joy, through remembrance of what God has done for His people
These are times of expression of gratitude from slavery into freedom; to remember their journey from captivity, to being released, and therefore, we read about these times that the Israelites still celebrate to this day
God reminded me of King David freely dancing in the streets as the Ark of the Lord was carried. This was not the norm and was frowned upon from David’s wife, and yet, David did not care…for he was joyful
Friends, there have been times when the tears won’t stop rolling down my cheeks, but there is an exchange which occurs when I have poured my heart out to the Lord, and He exchanged my mourning for His joy
There is always something to be thankful for. An opportunity to praise God for regarding His goodness within our lives. Therefore, today, you might feel broken under the weight of it all, but I encourage you to put on some music and simply keep on dancing with those teary eyes because tonight, you might be mourning, but in the morning there will be shouts of praise as God brings comforts to your soul
“The young women will dance for joy, and the men—old and young—will join in the celebration. I will turn their mourning into joy. I will comfort them and exchange their sorrow for rejoicing.”
