The Lord has been showing me a few things which I would like to share with you:
The reconstruction of God’s temple has begun, and the foundation has been re-laid for what is to come
The new foundation (just like what Ezra described) has been rebuilt on the previous one because what God spoke about His people will never change
But, I saw angels weeping when the foundation had been finished because they have seen the temple being laid before, yet it was God’s children who were shouting for joy
“Then all the people gave a great shout, praising the Lord because the foundation of the Lord’s Temple had been laid. But many of the older priests, Levites, and other leaders who had seen the first Temple wept aloud when they saw the new Temple’s foundation. The others, however, were shouting for joy.”
Ezra 3:11-12
God showed me that this temple would be different because the previous one was built for splendour for all to see, but this temple will be created for the purpose of what is to come
As I walked closer to the foundation, I saw that it was actually made up of God’s children and that it was a living structure
God’s children are coming together like never before, but there are older children who remember what the temple was like, and they are weeping with heaven. This is because they remember the beauty of the previous temple, and yet, God is saying that beauty is no longer important compared to our attributes
God cares more about who we are than what we can accomplish, and previously, we became more concerned with what the outer temple looked like (the church) than the inner workings. Our world has changed forever, and once-magnificent accomplishments have decayed and disappeared
God showed me that this new temple is one that will never be destroyed, because instead of one solid structure, just like the foundation I saw, it has billions of parts:
“Don’t you realize that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourself,”
1 Corinthians 6:19
The shouts of joy and sounds of weeping are both appropriate as the work on the temple has begun. The Holy Spirit is allowing God’s children to rejoice over the goodness of God because of His grace, but to also grieve over the sins that still need to be corrected
