Tis the Season for the Reason

(sigh) Christmas…honestly, I have found that you either love it or hate it!

It’s that time of the year that people are either surrounded by loved ones, or on their own.

It’s also that time of year when we can all get a little crazy with buying presents, wrapping, copious amounts of food, carol singing, and the nostalgia of the festive season. Or it’s the reason of our hurt and pain from loved ones, and the fact that there is no joy or laughter in our homes, just the desire to have this time pass by quickly

Honestly, for me, I still struggle with this time of year, but Sarai helps me to put things into perspective that I cannot keep living in the past or expecting each Christmas to be the same, but to look back at the past as the past, to therefore, embrace the now, and to look forward to the future with what is to come

Friends, I don’t know what Christmas looks like to you, but I pray that that if we walk in abundance, we thank Jesus for that blessing. I pray that if we have lack, that we thank Jesus that He will provide. I pray that if loved ones surround us, that we thank Jesus for that joy, and I pray that if we feel alone, that we thank Jesus that He is by our side

However we feel about Christmas, it never changes who Jesus is, and what this season actually stands for

Someone said to me recently that “Christmas is the most joyful time of the year” – yes it is, because no matter what, people from all walks of life are singing about our King, and He always was, is, and will be, on the throne
