Have I ever said to you, how good God is?
Fourteen years ago, I made a bad financial decision to buy my first home. Buying a home isn’t usually a wrong decision, but it was a one-bedroom apartment that was in a really lovely area, instead of listening to my parents, to buy a two-bedroom house in an up-and-coming neighbourhood
Why was that an issue? Because within three months, a recession hit the UK, and I had mortgaged myself to the max – in short, I wished I had never bought the apartment
Fast forward seven months and I found God, but the last fourteen years has seen many up’s and down’s, as I battled to keep this lousy decision from financially ruining myself
Throughout this timeframe, God has always walked with me. His goodness knows no bounds, but I can look back now, and see His grace was with me, even before I gave my life to Him
But, what made me smile most of all, was that God will use all things for His glory – He reminded me this morning about it being fourteen years…Fourteen is a double measure of spiritual perfection, and can also represent deliverance or salvation.
Friends, there is nothing that God cannot help you to overcome, when you give it over to Him. Has the last fourteen years been easy? Absolutely not. There have been times when I have literally just cried…then got angry…then cried some more.
Sometimes I questioned why God even allow it to continue, but actually, we have to take responsibility for our actions
Whoever conceals their sins does not prosper, but the one who confesses and renounces them finds mercy
Proverbs 28:13
Through this time, I have found God’s encouragement. His Mercy and Grace. I have seen God’s provision, but most of all, He has loved me with an everlasting measure, with no judgement
Thank you Jesus, that I have finally been able to sell the apartment, and for the lessons that I know I will continue to unpack with you, over the years to come
What I whisper in your ear, shout from the housetops for all to hear!
Matthew 10:27
God is good…always
