This week I had a revelation.
A few years ago I was told to not wear a certain colour when I was speaking, because it could have been seen as a distraction from the word I was to bring.
Since then, I had not realised but I had subdued my colour choices. I was known for bright lipstick and bold colours. They made me happy and yet that simple sentence, unconsciously stopped me being whom I was created to be.
A friend is an amazing “Style Coach” who specialises in colours etc. and when she said that I should be wearing bright colours with black and white – it resonated with me. I had a “light bulb moment” that God created me, perfectly, and yet I was trying to be someone I wasn’t.
So when someone tries to bring you down, whether their intentions seem good. Remember who’s you are and what makes you happy because there will only ever be one of you and that means, you rock as you are.
