The Kingdom of God

As I look around at the world, today, all I see is chaos!

You only need to read the newspapers, listen to the news, or click onto social media to see that “somewhere” there are way too many stories of people being belittled, ridiculed, or hurt in some way

My spirit grieves the injustice of it all because this world shows that the enemy has built a kingdom of rejection

I read this quote and it made me think just how different life becomes when we find Christ:

“Love is the only force capable of transforming an enemy into a friend.”

Martin Luther King

Throughout the Bible, God shows His love for His people, and ultimately us all, because in contrast to this world, His Kingdom is one built on LOVE

Friends, all I know is that when the world becomes crazier, we need to be running to God to find rest. We need the Prince of Peace to anchor our souls but also we need the Holy Spirit to guide us through this maze of rejection

People are getting hurt – daily for reasons that I cannot fathom. It’s not ok for one human to force their opinions onto another. Or to try and force another person into submission. Or worse, that someone believes that they are superior to another

What happened to love thy neighbour?

Family, it’s time for Christians to rise

I have said it before, but there are too many Christians in their bubbles of friendship groups or that their whole lives are only around people who love Jesus

Yet, the irony is that Jesus would not be sharing a meal with just Christians. He would not only be healing His Lifegroup friends or sharing the Gospel with His family – Jesus came to save us all

My prayer today is that Holy Spirit will grieve our souls to become burdened for those who are still lost to this world of rejection

What if, as Martin Luther King said, love transforms an enemy into a friend? It can only happen when we step out of our comfort zone

“For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. God sent his Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through him.”

John 3:16-17
