When I look over at the stress points in my life, it’s generally when I was trying to achieve something – for instance, a promotion, buying a home, or upgrading the car etc.
Yet, Jesus says that the “good life” we seek has nothing to do with being wealthy or what we own.
Advertisers spend millions each year on trying to entice us to think that if we buy this, that, or other, then it will make us happier.
I have learnt the hard way that it’s not the “what” that makes you happy, it’s the “who.”
Jesus reminds us life is not about what we own but more about who we are living for
