Battlegrounds

Looking back throughout my life has enabled me to see a clear, distinct, journey that God has taken me on

That is not to say, that God had put me on that path in the first place because a lot of them I have taken, have unfortunately been from wrong choices I have made along the way.

Yet, even as a non-Christian, I can see the “God-moves” in my life that He made, in order to direct me, and I can also see the barricades that were in my way to force me to take an alternative route (even if I did ”try” to destroy those barricades!)

The battles that I have faced have been common throughout the world, but there have also been ones that I have felt as if no-one could understand what I was facing.

But, in all wars, we learn strategies, we learn tactics, and skill – because even a novice becomes a skilled warrior over time

I have learnt – the hard way – a lot of the time, but through God’s grace and mercy, He has patiently stood by my side as I waged war with strongholds, and my desire to do His ”will” over my own

Friends, I have learnt that God arms us for every battle we will face, and He provides us with a supernatural strength that once we understand all that He has given us, the weary become strong, the wounded rise-up, and the once defeated, become victorious

The battles we win create warriors for God, and so, this morning, I want to encourage you to continue pressing into God

For some of us, we feel like we have reached the end of the line – you haven’t

For some of us, we feel like we can’t take another step – you can

For others the ”tsunami” before us looks daunting and too much to take on, so we want to run in the other direction

We need to remember our previous victories, because they spur us on to continue on the path God is directing us to

But in doing so, we also remember, that we are already a warrior

– so get ready

”You have armed me with strength for the battle; you have subdued my enemies under my feet.” Psalms‬ ‭18:39‬
