“And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” John 8:32
It’s not easy to allow God “in”. To accept that you need help. To open your heart and be “vulnerable”.
I have found that as I journey each day with God, my thoughts and feelings that seem “normal”; that I feel “comfortable with”, may not be from Him.
Usually the areas that I struggle with, (rejection – to name one) are areas in my life that are remembered with pain and heartache.
God wants us to walk in freedom. Jesus took away all sin – including, all shame, all rejection, all fear and everything else that the enemy uses against us, that day He died, on Calvary.
Those feelings hold us back in life. Those feelings truely paralyse us, to move forward into our God given purpose.
John 8:32 puts things into perspective – The truth (Jesus) sets you free because otherwise, Jesus dying, was for nothing.
Breakthrough comes, when we stop believing the lies and listen to the One, who was, who is and is to come.
Breakthrough comes, when we let go of who we were and believe who Jesus says we are and will become.
