Timothy tells us that ALL scripture is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness (verses 16-17). That means that the Bible is not a collection of stories but the inspired Word of God, written by man.
God was in control of it’s writing, and I love in verse 16, where Timothy reminds us that scripture is God-breathed. That means that everything we read, God wanted us to take it all in, because it ultimately reveals Who He is and we can go on a life-long journey with God, to become Christ-like, as we apply scripture to our lives.
The following pages are some scriptures to hold onto when we are faced with circumstances that stretch us beyond our comfort zone because that is where our character is truly tested!
Remember, there is not one person in this world that God did not create out of love or to be with Him for Eternity – so everything we do should come from the two greatest commands that Jesus shared: Love God and Love Others (Matthew 22:36-40)
