Isn’t it “funny” with human behaviour when we know that we may have, or may want to do something we know intrinsically is wrong, that generally, we embark on bringing others into that situation too…
If Eve had eaten the fruit alone and then admitted her sin to God, then things could have been different. Yes, God may have punished her by death, and Adam, as heartless as it might seem, could have then had another partner created by God, and life would have continued as God intended. Yet, because Eve gave the fruit to Adam, and he ate it, that action is what changed the course of our lives
We will never know why Adam took the fruit and ate it, but maybe it was because Eve persuaded Adam that even though God had said to him that he would die if he ate from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil, and yet, he could see that Eve was still alive – maybe that was the temptation Adam needed, but either way, Adam eating the fruit was pure disobedience
After all, if you remember, Adam had received that direct revelation from God. In other words, God told Adam directly not to eat the fruit, and this is where the unforgivable act came in that needed a Saviour
Adam changed humanity in one action
Some Scholars believe that Adam was watching Eve be deceived by satan, and yet, it doesn’t seem to fit the narrative, because surely, if you hear satan trying to tempt your wife about what God really said, then you would step in?
However, whatever happened during that time, doesn’t change the fact that God’s untested method towards our human nature was correct. We naturally will go against God, and therefore, Jesus was the only way to save our souls
