Honestly, I have been grieved by recent research, which shows that the majority of Christians asked (by this study) confess to not believing in the Holy Spirit, other than, He is the manifestation of God’s power, but also that these Christians believe in karma!
Now, I understand that this is only a snapshot and that this viewpoint is not the actual percentage of the worldview (although that would be interesting to know) , but given that America is supposed to have the most population who profess to be Christian, it paints a grim picture for the rest of the world
If this is what we believe, sadly, the enemy has infiltrated our minds, and we don’t even realise it! This begs the question, though…
If Jesus isn’t returning until judgement day, and the Father is on The Throne, who do we think will start this world revival that people are supposedly praying for? Also, is God that merciful to permit unbiblical views into Heaven?
To not believe in the Holy Spirit as a person within the Trinity – isn’t Biblical for a start – but it shows the depraved teachings within the church today, and ultimately, why Scripture shows that those of us who teach God’s children are held more accountable (James 3:1)
The church needs a shakeup…in fact, maybe not a shakeup, but we need to WAKE UP
Do you know why I pray for the transformation of hearts so that the world revival comes?
Because I want to go home, and the only way Jesus is returning is when every nation has heard the Gospel. We have become complacent in just waiting for Jesus, and yet, Jesus was clear in us choosing to pick up our cross daily and follow what He showed us (Matthew 16:24-26). When Jesus came to earth, it wasn’t because of His deity that He did what He did, but as fully man, He too was guided by the power of the Holy Spirit within Him
Friends, I want to bring some encouragement this morning as to why the parable of the Ten Virgins (Matthew 25:1-13) has never been so prominent before now. We need to understand that without us understanding Biblical truth and overflowing with the Holy Spirit, we will not be ready for when Jesus returns
Therefore, my prayer this morning is simple…
God help us all
