Hold On

David wrote Psalm 9 directly to God (the Chief Musician) but what I love about this Psalm is the sense of triumph when we are looking to God and trusting Him

Life may seem like a never-ending spin cycle – a place where you feel out of control. Your circumstances may look bleak, and you may feel like you canโ€™t go on, but you need to remember that whatever you face, you will come out the other side…you will get through this

Just like David feeling like he was surrounded and at death’s door (verse 13-14), David prayed to God to lift him out of these circumstances so that he could rejoice in God’s salvation and praise Him for what He was going to do

Sometimes, we need to praise God in the waiting, and we need to declare His praises before the breakthrough because we know Who God is, and we trust in Him, but ultimately, it’s because we need to seek God still, no matter what we are going through. He will never leave us, but that understanding comes from a relationship with God

Friends, do not lose hope. Verse ten gives us the keys to when we feel like we have had enough. In God’s perfect timing – just like David prayed – God will lift us to victory

โ€œThose who know your name trust in you, for you, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek you.โ€
