Break me, Lord

Jesus was broken and poured out so that we may have eternal life beyond this one. Yet, this life that we have been blessed with, now, shouldn’t be one of comfort, but one of surrender and sacrifice

That means that we chose to pick the life that God designed for us. What opportunities are we missing out on, all because we are clinging to comfort instead of Christ?

One of my prayers has always been for God to break me. Break my heart for what breaks His. I guess you could say that this is a dangerous prayer because I am allowing God to change me so that it aligns with Him

Metaphorically speaking, I desire to pick up my cross daily and to be poured out. I want to follow Jesus, and I know that I have said it before, but I desire to do greater things than Jesus did in His lifetime – why? Because Scripture tells us that it is possible

Friends, why have a life of comfort when you could cling to Christ and see what God will do, in you and through you? That doesn’t mean that comfort is a curse or we shouldn’t enjoy the pleasant things of life, but when those things stop you from wanting God’s will over your own, then it’s maybe time to pray more dangerous prayers

“For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.”

Matthew 16:25
