I was speaking about natural revelation to a non-christian recently because she happened to mention that she was looking at something in nature and wondering if there is “more to life?” And so, I explained about natural (general) revelation that God gave us to point everyone to Him to ask that exact question
For me (which I have spoken about before) it was from looking up at the vast array of stars in the sky
But, whatever draws us to start to think of the hand of the Lord, is exciting. We are living in times where people have had to stop and pause their lives, but from what I am experiencing from others, is that it is making them look at this world “differently”
By pausing and reflecting on the bumblebee busily collecting nectar…or watching the waves on the shore coming crashing down in perfect unison…or even wondering about snowflakes…I am listening to people start to question about creation
Friends, it doesn’t take much – when our eyes are opened to this majestic world – to see that from the birds in the sky, or the animals on the land, or the fish in the sea, or even, from the earth itself that there is more to life then what we initially thought
I adore creation because everywhere I look, I can see God’s hand upon it, but I love that more and more people (during these times) are opening their eyes and seeing the revelation of God
Today, my hearts prayer is that we will have encounters with unbelievers that are asking that all-important question so that we can bring further revelation to their question and introduce them to Jesus
Let’s be bold
“But ask the animals, and they will teach you, or the birds in the sky, and they will tell you; or speak to the earth, and it will teach you, or let the fish in the sea inform you. Which of all these does not know that the hand of the Lord has done this?”
