I read this quote, yesterday, and it stopped me in my tracks…
As we waste our breath complaining about life, let’s remember that someone is breathing their last
Unknown
All too often we can get caught up in our circumstances, other people’s lives, politics, COVID news, or just life in general and we end up complaining about everything and anything
Yet, this week, God has been speaking to me about “Ruach Elohim” – the breath (or Spirit) of God
As Christians, we know that God spoke (or breathed) things into being. In the book of Proverbs, there are so many Scriptures about the power of our tongues (in other words…what we speak…ruach…breath)
There is so much to be thankful for. No matter how small it might seem. The fact that we woke this morning is a blessing in itself
Friends, let’s pause and reflect on our thoughts and our conversations. There was a time when the Israelites grumbled in their tents rather than focusing on what the Lord had planned for them. Jesus left us with two commands – love God, and also, to love others. If we are complaining then can we say we are doing these things?
Yet, the thing that sticks in my mind is for those people who would give anything to be well, as they take their last breath
“Instead, they grumbled in their tents and refused to obey the Lord.”
