Romans 13:10 states that when we truly love one another, we actually fulfil all of the law. This is because Jesus was the fulfilment of the law, and the two greatest commands He left us was to love God, and love others
Yet, being honest, I think most of us still seem to struggle with the concept of loving “everyone” daily
I know for myself, there are days when I reflect, and realise, that I still need Jesus to help me with loving everyone because I understand that I too am not perfect
There are so many Scriptures that reflect what love is, and what it does, but my desire is that I will become love through my obedience to the Lord. I want to be known for loving God and loving others
Friends, the easy part is admitting that we are not perfect, but the most challenging thing is then to allow the Holy Spirit to show us why we struggle to love others.
For instance: jealousy, fear, guilt, and pride can play a part because these emotions tell a greater story within us, but it’s when we become vulnerable to walk in step with God, that He guides us into His truth that we are loved, completely, and this is why love conquers all
“And this is love: that we walk in obedience to his commands. As you have heard from the beginning, his command is that you walk in love.”
