This morning, God showed me a picture of complete darkness. There was a huge bonfire, from people continuously throwing things onto it, in a bid to see the surrounding area. These people believed that, the more significant the fire, the further they would see, but they could only walk so far before the darkness took over their eyes again
Then, I saw other people at a different location, but this time the fire burnt from inside them. Therefore, no matter which way they turned – even though there was still complete darkness – the fire inside radiated outwards. The fire within was not consuming them, so as they walked around they saw which way to go
What I felt God was saying to me was this:
For some of us, we are still trying to keep ourselves warm from the darkness around us, when God offers eternal light and protection, through Jesus
God’s promises have been made public through His Word, but the people walking around with light shining from within, can not hide the light. It is not something that they can control. Nor can they turn it off, because this is God’s promise. This is His fulfilment of eternal life because when we accept that Jesus died for us, we receive all that God has foretold, including His protection and guidance
The world needs to remember now, more than ever, that salvation is for all nations – not just the Israelites. Many times in Scripture it might seem like the Israelites are the only ones who would carry the ”light” from within, but God makes it clear that His people include ALL those who follow Him
Israel was the means by which the whole world would know God, yet, Jesus’ sacrifice fulfilled the role of Israel, and therefore, gave all people the opportunity to follow God by receiving the internal light of the Holy Spirit
I believe that God is shifting the nations to see who is carrying the light within, and who is trying to build their own bonfire, so that the fugitives of the nations will see clearly the God who saves throughout His people, and ultimately, be drawn to their light, in these last days, rather than, huddled around a bonfire which eventually will go out
“For the Lord is God, and he created the heavens and earth and put everything in place. He made the world to be lived in, not to be a place of empty chaos. “I am the Lord,” he says, “and there is no other. I publicly proclaim bold promises. I do not whisper obscurities in some dark corner. I would not have told the people of Israel to seek me if I could not be found. I, the Lord, speak only what is true and declare only what is right. “Gather together and come, you fugitives from surrounding nations. What fools they are who carry around their wooden idols and pray to gods that cannot save!”
Isaiah 45:18-20
