Over the last few days, I haven’t been able to stop thinking about the mountains written within the Bible. There is so much significance from past events to events that are still to take place
I want to share with you the Scripture that stuck in my mind yesterday. It’s found in Isaiah 2:2:
In the last days, the mountain of the Lord’s house will be the highest of all— the most important place on earth. It will be raised above the other hills, and people from all over the world will stream there to worship
Isaiah 2:2
The temple Solomon built for the Lord was built on a mountain so that it was highly visible to all the people in Jerusalem
Yet, in the last days, the Lord’s temple will attract the nations, not because of its architecture and prominence, but because of God’s presence and influence
Friends, God gave Isaiah the gift of seeing future events, and at this time, God showed him what would eventually happen to Jerusalem
This is why I love to read Revelation 21 which describes the new Jerusalem because it gives a picture in our mind of what is to come so that it becomes a reminder that when God makes a covenant (promise) with His people, He will never break it
God is faithful, and this Scripture in Isaiah 2:2 simply gives me hope for the future
I want to encourage us this morning to find Scripture that gives you ”hope” and when you feel discouraged, pray them out loud, with God, and allow Him to remind you of His promises
