Proverbs Challenge (Reflection)

Hey there,

I wanted to quickly reflect on the last 31-days with you because there is something incredible that occurs when you allow God to help unpack your thoughts and feelings

Here are five things that the book of Proverbs shows importance with:

1) When we choose God’s way, He grants us wisdom. His Word, the Bible, leads us to live rightly, have right relationships, and make better choices

2) In order to relate to people, we need consistency, tact, and discipline to use the wisdom God gives. If we don’t, our relationships suffer

3) To be wise with our words, we need go learn to use self-control. Our words always need to be honest and well-chosen

4) Because it is God who evaluates how we live, we should work purposefully

5) A successful relationship with God counts for eternity. Everything else that we see and understand with perishable. Our resources, time, and talents all come from God, and therefore, we need to use them wisely

Woven into the fabric of our being is the desire to learn and understand. Our minds are what set us apart from animals, as we analyse, discuss, and debate – everything within this world and beyond; and from, the natural to the supernatural

Today, is August 1st, and so, therefore, I am setting you a new challenge…keep going, and start this challenge again! Why not do this study with a friend? Or with your family? Study the word, and keep on sharing what God unfolds, with each other, over the next month.

Some months have less than 31 days and February even less again, but don’t worry, just read certain chapters less (unless you want to do more than one chapter, per day, within those months!)

“But they delight in the law of the Lord, meditating on it day and night. They are like trees planted along the riverbank, bearing fruit each season. Their leaves never wither, and they prosper in all they do.”

Psalm 1:2-3

God bless you all, as you continue to press into the Word and all that God has for you
