I imagine our lives as a mosaic sculpture, whereby Jesus is the grout that holds us together, and although the odd ”missing” piece may not seem that big a deal from far away, close up, the grout reveals what needs to be done
As usual, I have found a song that speaks to my soul, but this one line gets me every time:
As broken as my life may be, I will give you ever piece
Available – Elevation Worship
How often do we hear God beckoning us to His arms, and we are too busy, too scared, too impatient, too broken, too _____ to go to Him?
This song by Elevation Worship talks of being available to God – even if our lives are broken, or pieces are missing. We give our lives to Him, anyway
This is the purpose of the Gospel…that we aren’t supposed to have it all together, because Jesus does. We are simply to present our lives as a living sacrifice and follow Jesus. He is the grout in the mosaic because He is the only One worthy to hold every precious, broken, piece of our lives, but the question remains are we willing to give God everything?
Friends, the greatest command that Jesus told was that God wanted us all. Warts n all! But not to condemn us, but to love us
Today, it’s not about how much we have it together, but understanding that even if our lives are falling apart, God loves us anyway, and Jesus is here, waiting, to hold and restore us – as always
“You must love the LORD your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’”
Matthew 22:37
