I don’t want to be boring, and I certainly do not accept a mediocre lifestyle
I was always told as a little girl that I was a dreamer. I was told growing up to stop having my head in the clouds. I have been told as an adult that I am a “nobody” but also, that my dreams were ridiculous, and I needed to accept that
To those people…
For many years, I want you to know that believed you. Therefore, I pushed down thoughts that wanted “me” to exceed. I would hold back myself to “blend in”. But also, because I compromised in so many ways, I realised that a little piece of me died every time an opportunity came, and went, through being scared to step out, because of what “people” thought
I had a conversation with my Mum, just last week, how it has taken me years to believe God’s Word over what was spoken over me. Yet, I realised it becomes a choice to push away the negativity and walk out into all that God has for me
I have realised that mediocre is boring because my life is supposed to be a representation of Jesus, and I am sorry, but Jesus is many things, but average or mediocre is not Him
I want my life to soar as high as it can…I want people to look at me and think “I want what she has” but this isn’t to covet “me” it’s so I can tell them about Jesus! I have God-sized dreams because I want people to ask “how did you do that” so then I can, again, tell them about Jesus!
My life is all about Jesus! I am “all-in” – I have been told that people don’t like the fact that I am 100% for Jesus. I am “sold out” for Him, but again, being honest, for a while I tried my hardest to dull down who I am to “fit in” for those “friends”, but I realised that I was compromising again and pieces of me were dying because of it
I want to ask you – Do you realise that you were born to soar? Do you understand that mediocrity is the enemy’s way of silencing you? You were born to live an extraordinary life because your were made in God’s image, and if our Heavenly Father created the universe, then He is anything but ordinary, and that means, so are you!!!!
I love this quote:
”Refuse to be average. Let your heart soar as high as it will”
A.W. Tozer
Some of you might be thinking that you love your life the way that it is, and that is incredible in itself. But imagine if when we get to Heaven that God shows us that the life that we thought was amazing was mediocre in comparison to what God had planned for us. All because we had forgotten to ask God along the way what He thinks we should do?
Friends, today, I encourage you to ask God if you have accepted mediocrity in any part of your life, and if so, I dare you to ask God to replace it for His will for your life – let’s start to have a supernatural viewpoint, just like the way we were created
“And whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through him to God the Father.”
Colossians 3:17
