I have been thinking about this verse over the last few days because the Bible says to pray without ceasing (in other words, continuously seek God’s direction within our lives)
Yet, in Psalm 5, David pens that in the morning, God hears his voice. I believe there are a couple of reasons why the morning is the best time to pray directly to God
With regards to ourselves, in the morning, our minds are freer from the problems of the day, and therefore we can choose to give God our day, going forward
But, with regards to God, His mercies are made new each morning. I love this. Yet, the Scripture says again about the time of day because it’s like a reset button for our relationship with Him
Friends, being honest, I was not a morning person. I was someone who loved to press ”snooze” on my alarm multiple times in the mornings
However, this meant that God got pushed back further and further into my day
Yet, now, God is, and always will be, the priority, because just like this Scripture, I believe that praying to God in the morning, He hears my voice and sets me up for not only my day, but my life
