We are certainly living in interesting times. One day I am reading about people who are fighting over toilet paper, and the next day, people are uniting to ensure the vulnerable are being cared for
Coronavirus has undoubtedly changed the world, forever, but like most pandemics, humanity fights back to survive
Yet, it is seeing the church unite together that is comforting, to me. There is one message coming from all parts of the world, and that is, that God is our Hope and we must continue to put our trust in Him
Friends, for some of us, we will feel the pain of loss through this season of uncertainty, but I have learnt that when trouble comes our way, we need to run to God, to protect our hearts and minds, because He alone is an unshakable force that provides refuge in our times of need
This is the time to read the Scriptures to remind ourselves of the covenant we are under
This is the time to listen to worship music and praise the One who was, is, and is to come
This is the time to fellowship – where possible – together, but know that we are united, as one body, to bring the presence of God into every heart and mind
Yesterday at our church, we declared God’s promises, we prophesied over the congregation, and we praised God, but it was powerful to witness the Spirit moving
Nahum had the difficult task of bringing God’s people back to Him, but He gave an important reminder, that God still rules over all the earth (even over those who don’t acknowledge Him) because God is all-powerful and therefore, not even the coronavirus, can stop His plans
So today, let’s remember that if God is for us, who, or what, can be against us? Yet, also, no matter what…God is good…always
“The Lord is good, a strong refuge when trouble comes. He is close to those who trust in him.”
Nahum 1:7
