Over the weekend, I was talking to God about my “wish” list for our home that we built last year
Kieren has said previously that everything that I had mentioned as “my dream home” was now in fruition from God’s blessing to us
We literally stand in awe of how just two years ago, we stood at the very spot where our house stands dreaming of the day that we could get back into the property market
In the UK, we had always owned our own home, but since immigrating to New Zealand, over six years ago, the Auckland market kept soaring and what was a dream to become a homeowner once more, seemed impossible
Now, we have a beautiful home, and it is all glory to God for the connections and intricate details that He made a way, when as far as we could see, there wasn’t one
So, this weekend, as I looked up, I smiled, because as a child, I was always amazed by the stars.
Yet, God reminded me that He knows our deepest desires – even the ones that are yet to surfaces to our hearts, because every night I now get to gaze at the Milky Way that sits right above our newly built home
Friends, God doesn’t just give us our desires; He smashes them all, and then some, out of the park!
Whatever you are dreaming for today, open your heart to Him, cry, laugh, get frustrated (I’ve done it all) but whatever you are feeling, give your desires to your Heavenly Father
As we take delight in the Father, it means trusting the One we know with everything in our lives, families, jobs, and even our possessions to God’s control and His guidance, because when we do, we will realise that He can care for us better than we can ourselves, and when we wait for His perfect timing, He will even go above and beyond to give you whatever your Milky Way looks like
