Family Feuds

Family has the ability to speak life into each other, or to tear each other apart, like no other. It’s one thing for a colleague, or a friend to speak something, but for a loved one, it hurts just that little bit more, when the words are negative and condemning

Whether our family is biological, through marriage, or faith, ”family” looks the same within these two options mentioned above

I love to travel, and see the church as a whole, whether it’s in a different city, or country around the world, I am seeing the Spirit move in the same way…

I see within the church itself, there is a ”hum.” A hum of anticipation and excitement. A hum of expectation and hunger. God is moving around the world – boldly. The church is seeing revival throughout the land, but from this, the enemy tries to steal, kill, and destroy God’s children

This can come all too often from our families, and this Scripture today, mainly stuck out to me, because we can feel like life is going well, and then in the next moment, we get sideswiped by the actions or comments of others

Friends, time is short, and life is but a blink of an eye, within the context of eternity. There is this great old saying that, ”you cannot choose your family” – this is so true. Yet, we need to understand that every person created on this earth is predestined to be with you and I in heaven – as brothers and sisters in Christ. Therefore, this Scripture becomes more prominent for such a time as this…

Who do you need to forgive today? Who do you need to reconcile with? A family feud can last a lifetime, but is it really worth it when God is ultimately the only one capable of ”judging” the individuals (our ”brothers and sisters) who have wronged us?

It’s time to let go and walk in the true freedom Christ died for. Ask God today, and allow Him to speak truth into your heart, about who you really are, but also, who those people are to Him as well

“Jesus knew their thoughts and replied, “Any kingdom divided by civil war is doomed. A town or family splintered by feuding will fall apart.”

Matthew 12:25
