I love the imagery, found in Proverbs 4:18…
The thought of being in complete darkness, as we walk outside of God’s grace, but then as the first gleam of light, from dawn, hits our face, we can turn towards it, for direction.
I love this because it shows that no matter how far in darkness we might think we are, the light of day will always find us…and from there, it leads, and it guides us to its truth.
But, when the light reaches us, then we have no real excuse with not knowing which way to turn.
The light becomes brighter in our lives as we continue to follow its path until ultimately, we are in the fullness of the midday sun – that is, with Christ
Friends, this is because, the perfect day will be in heaven when we are with the ”day star” Himself. That is when we will all shine the brightest.
However, until then, if the way of the righteous is seen as the first gleam of dawn. Imagine what lies ahead if we continue to walk that path, towards God
“The way of the righteous is like the first gleam of dawn, which shines ever brighter until the full light of day.”
