This weekend, just gone, has been a tough one for our household, and yet, upon reflection, no matter what we go through, I can see God’s promises, and His presence, throughout it all
Our family dog almost died after swallowing a fishing hook, but it was on the way to the second emergency Vet (for Nala to have surgery) that Sarai, our daughter, bought in the presence of God into the car.
She asked us to play worship music rather than sitting in silence, but the song that played was called, ”See the Light” by Hillsong. Then Sarai started to pray with tears streaming down her face
There was a proud Mumma in the front seat I tell you! But, Sarai reminded me of the Scripture found in Matthew 18, when Jesus tells the Disciples that they must become like children, to enter heaven
I have learnt so much from my Daughter, regarding my relationship with God. She makes things uncomplicated – simple even. Sarai, as a child, remains teachable, sincere and humble, but Jesus meant for us to remember to be like this, within our lives
Friends, as adults, things get complicated when there really is no need. If there is an issue – pray. If there is a crisis – pray. If there is an emergency – pray. Whatever, might be going on in our lives, God is waiting for an invitation to be allowed into it, and let’s face it…we need to remember that a problem shared with God, is a victory waiting to happen
“Then he said, “I tell you the truth, unless you turn from your sins and become like little children, you will never get into the Kingdom of Heaven.”
Matthew 18:3
