It still baffles me when people think that they have to do life alone
Imagine walking day-by-day, alone, and having no one to share your experiences with. Imagine having no one to turn too when life takes that unexpected turn. Imagine not being able to laugh with joy with someone else. There is no one to talk to, no one to help you, and no one to enjoy life with
Yet, many of us are doing just this by not allowing the Spirit to move within our lives. When this happens, we cannot experience the power and comfort from the Holy Spirit – just as Jesus promised us
This life is the only one we live before going to Heaven (or Hell) and so why would we choose mediocre life when there is a supernatural one? It’s like winning the biggest prize of our lives, and then never opening the wrapped gift
Friends, I love John 15 because it reminds me of God’s goodness to His people through the vine and the branches, but it is also a reminder that when we are apart from Jesus, we achieve nothing compared to what happens when we walk with God
“Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing.”
John 15:5
