Praying with Vulnerability

Prayer is a beautiful thing…

To pray, and to know, that God hears every word spoken and unspoken, is powerful. I know for myself, there is something pure about conversing with my Heavenly Father

Yet, for me, prayer has become about vulnerability. God is all-knowing, and however, sometimes we can forget to speak to Him about our circumstances or intercede on behalf of others

Do we trust God enough to allow Him into our lives? To learn to know God and be known intimately by Him

There have been times in my Christian walk where I have felt ashamed, fearful of the unknown, or just broken, and yet, Scripture tells me that I can come boldly to the Throne of God because I am chosen. I am His, and those emotions lie.

Friends, I was reading this morning the Scripture found in James 5:16 about praying for one another. There can be times in our lives where we think that we can deal with “stuff” on our own, but I want to encourage us that there is a shift in the atmosphere when we come alongside each other in prayer

It’s time to get more vulnerable. As someone who is English. I still find it hard sometimes to share because there are so many sayings, like, “having a stiff upper lip” or “don’t air your dirty laundry” in order that others don’t see the ”issues” in our lives

Yet, we were created to do life together. Not to try and replicate a picture-perfect life

And so today, I would love to pray for you. If you have a prayer need, comment below, or send me a message and let’s stand together, believing all that God has for this situation, and ask that His Will will be done, in Jesus’ name

For me, I would ask you to pray alongside our family regarding my Mother-in-law. Kieren has flown back to the UK to be with her as she is about to have heart surgery. Please pray for a miracle, but if not, that the Holy Spirit Will guide the surgeon, so that the operation will be a complete success
