There are times in our Christian walk, where we harden our hearts. This is when we deliberately go against Christ, and 1 Timothy talks about this ”shipwrecking” our faith, because every time we ignore our conscience, it diminishes our ability (over time) to tell right from wrong
As we walk with God, daily, He speaks to us through our conscience’s, and this then allows us to understand ”right from wrong”
This example is one of many things why I love Paul and Peter within the Gospel, because they show us how even when we make mistakes, and they can be BIG mistakes, that God will restore us back into a loving relationship with Him when we turn from them
”the grace of our Lord was poured out on me abundantly, along with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus” 1 Timothy1:14
Friends, let’s be sure to act on those inner tugs from our conscience, because, we then know we are still being guided by truth, and we will continue to do what is right in God’s eyes
We all make mistakes, and unfortunately, probably always will! Yet, that is why we needed help in the first place, through the Gospel. But, there is still a choice, and it’s whether we choose to accept that we made a mistake run back into God’s arms, or, as we read in 1 Timothy, we continue down the one-way track
I pray today that we will be sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit, and our conscience, so that we will always remain humble enough to admit when we are wrong
