Sometimes, in this world of continuous chaos, we need to remember just to stop and breathe; to reflect; and ultimately, to reposition ourselves to the Father
It’s in this time that we breathe in His truth, and breathe out lies
We breathe in His hope and breathe our fear
Because life has a way of entangling everyday worries to our dreams, which can stop us from walking those out with the Father
I have come to realise that my equilibrium is peace. If I have God’s peace, then I know that I am doing ok, but it’s when I feel unfocused, or off-balanced, that I spend more time with Father God, to reveal anything that I have taken within my soul.
For me, it’s the little comments here or there. Even, other people’s laughs at the wrong time. Also pauses in conversations, that brings doubt flooding in. Yet, partnering with these thoughts for a second means that the enemy floods my mind with fear, and then rejection
Friends, I have learnt that when I am feeling ”off” – I turn to the Father and ask Him, ”What is the lie I am believing?” He then brings a thought, a picture, or even a memory, back into my mind. It is in that time that I release it, and I can breathe in and receive His peace
I love the song from Bethel Music ”Breathe out your Praise” because it is an essential reminder that, for me, praising God does bring peace
Praise positions our hearts and the fears and worries melt away. This is why, being a Christian doesn’t mean we never have problems. It just means that we know Who to turn to, when the problems occur
”Unseal my lips, O Lord, that my mouth may praise you.” Psalm 51:15
