Junk

I have had this thought rolling around in my head for the last few days, and the more I think about it, the more that God presses on me regarding the Scripture below

The world we live in is fickle because advertising, social media, and journalism teach us that we need to live in the ”now.” Society demands the latest trends and gadgets, but then everything gets tossed aside when something ”new” comes along

The same can be said for humanity. A celeb will rise and fall in but a blink of an eye, because a person’s worth is apparently gauged by social status. Everything, to me, at present, seems like we all have to be influencers, and how to become the next social media star

Even I had to remind myself that our worth is found in Christ, and Him alone, because of inadequacy trying to come upon me

Friends, we are not junk, but when we read Scripture, it is all too easy to think of things from a human perspective. We need to remember that our God is Supernatural, and eternal, and therefore, I believe that because all Scripture is God-breathed, we have to look at it from His point of view

I think that ”own time” means beginning to end – in other words, that our beauty, our worth, our dreams and visions, matter, throughout our lives.

The world might put a value on us, but to God, we are priceless

The world might say that we are junk, but the only beholder that truly matters, is God (and the tribe He has surrounded us with)

Today, I pray, that we will start to think, feel, and see ourselves through God’s eyes

I believe then, spiritual chains will fall away, as we rediscover our true identities are not placed on world values

”Yet God has made everything beautiful for its own time.” Ecclesiastes‬ ‭3:11‬
