I woke up this morning, and felt like, someone reading this, feels they are a mistake
You feel like you are in a place of unworthiness. A place of feeling like you’re nothing, to nobody. You have the pain of feeling unloved, alone, useless, and afraid
Are you ”afraid to breathe the wrong way?” It sounds ridiculous, and yet, I remember it well
Friends, there is no place on earth where we should feel like ”we are a mistake”. If anyone of us feels like that, then I want to encourage us this morning that we believe lies, over God’s truth; because the enemy has been creating doubt in others since the beginning of time, and so, this morning, I want to remind us of who we really are…
“But even before I was born, God chose me and called me by his marvellous grace. Then it pleased him” Galatians 1:15
If our all-knowing God chose you to be formed in your mother’s womb, then you have purpose. God formed us knowing all the days of our lives, including whether that day, would be the day we spoke our first word, or even, achieved “day one” of sobriety.
Friends, we need to stop looking around at others and listen to the One who has enough Grace for us all. The expectations come back to bite us when we are looking for others to play God, and the sad part of it all is that usually, it’s something that we become unaware of!
We are ALL called by God’s marvellous grace. Yet, it is assumed that this life will be straight, and smooth. But, show me someone who hasn’t had a few unexpected turns, or kinks along the way, from wrong choices!
God knows who, and what you need in your life. So, let’s go to Him first to reaffirm who we are, who God has called us to be, and what our identity is, in Him, because then, if anything, or anyone, contradicts that, we know the lie, from His truth
You are not a mistake…
God wanted you…
And, it pleases Him that you are here
