Of all the names God has, which one of them speaks to you the most? How do you most relate to God?
El Shaddai (Lord God Almighty)
Jehovah Raah (The Lord My Shepherd)
Jehovah Jireh (The Lord Will Provide)
Yahweh (Lord, Jehovah)
Jehovah Nissi (The Lord My Banner)
El Elyon (The Lord Most High)
Jehovah Rapha (The Lord Who Heals)
I speak on knowing God intimately because we need to understand not only Who our Father is, but also, Who He is for us
Vulnerability is where we can open our heart to God about our wants, our needs, and our desires, to know that He listens to our every word – spoken or unspoken
God is the only One who understands our deepest pain, our hurts, our anguish, and in the midst of the season we are in, He will be there, no matter what…whether it’s protecting our soul, walking by our side, or waiting for an opportunity to bring comfort, and peace
For me, His name El Rai (God Seest me) speaks to the deepest part of my innermost being
To be seen, to be known, and to be heard, is something that we can all struggle with, in a world that craves attention, and publicity
I spent years trying to ”make it” in my life until I paused to ask, ”what does that even mean?” Striving for the next high of getting another promotion within my career, the latest gadgets, more money, status – it all led to the same thing…I wanted to be seen, to be heard, and to be known
Then I realised that Hagar saw the God who sees, in Genesis 16. She knew that God saw her, and we too can understand this, today
He is the One that will never forsake us because He sees, and He knows, exactly where we are. God responds to our every need – within His will, and perfect plan for our lives.
Friends, it is in our All-Seeing God that we are truly known. Our true hearts desires are met, every time, when we realise Who God is.
We are known by Him more intimately than we could ever imagine because He knew us before we were formed in the womb. He knows every hair, every cell, every fibre of our being.
Therefore, today, open your heart to your greatest need and let God be all that you need Him to be
