Being a Spectator

God gave me an image this morning about being a spectator to Him, which I want to share…

I saw the world as a stadium, and there were billions of spectators watching and waiting for the ”game” to start, but God showed me three types of people and what they meant

As a spectator, people come to watch and be onlookers to what is in front of them. Although some were curious, others had been dragged (out of love) to watch the game with the ”fan” of the family. Most spectators knew what to expect out of the game – but they waited for God to give them a good time, before going home

Then I saw the ”fans” of God…the cheerleaders if you like. The ones who were passionate about what was about to happen. They weren’t afraid to be seen in public as God’s ”number one” fan. They cheered, danced, and sang their way through the performance or game, and then they went home

Lastly, God showed me the players. Few in comparison to the spectators and fans, but these were the ones who had chosen to participate in ”the game.” The team players realise that it’s not about just one player, but One team. They all learn, practice, and actively look out for one another, but most importantly, acknowledge the game. They become the game – because it’s their identity on and off the pitch.

Friends, are we aware that we are in the game of our lives? And this is the final one with the time already counting down.

God has called us all to be Team Players. He has chosen us to play and be a part of something spectacular, but understand, as a Team, we ultimately become One, united in purpose and vision

Let’s not be apart of the crowd…because God is wanting so much more.
