God gave me a word, which I want to share with you all…
2019 will be the Year of Reconciliation. It’s the year where we will receive a double portion of grace, mercy, and peace, to forgive others in our lives.
There are three areas which a lot of us are still harbouring offences towards others, which directly affects our ability to be intimate with God. This is shown because no matter how much we try to draw closer to the Father, we struggle, and become distracted again – which prevents a true relationship. This is a ploy from the enemy.
We need to realise what Satan is doing. The Bible shows us that his main tactic is to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10) – Satan wants our minds, in order to steal our joy, kill our relationships, and destroy our faith – we know this and yet, many of us have walked away from relationships and situations in our lives which are God-given.
The time has come for the veil of deceit to come off our eyes so that we can walk in true freedom. God commands us to forgive as He has forgiven us (Colossians 3:13)
The first area for reconciliation is regarding: Finances
Some of us have walked away from family and friends because of the debts that they owe us. We have struggled with the way they have treated us, by not seeming to care about our needs when we have asked for the money to be returned, and therefore, we have walked away from the relationship, for good.
2019 will see those relationships restored. It doesn’t necessarily mean that finances will be restored, but God will give a double portion of mercy to you to forgive them – even where it is not “deserved” in your eyes. Remember that God is the only one who can judge at the appointed time (Psalm 75:2) so forgive them, and be the light, in their world
The second area for reconciliation is regarding: Offence
The Christian community has split far too many times because of their offence. This is where the thief steals our joy.
2019 will see a double portion of grace. We need to understand that we are all on a journey, but we need to develop the heart for communication, in order to talk to those who (in our eyes) have offended us, for reconciliation to occur. Grace is not deserved but comes from a place of love – we love because God loves us first (1 John 4:19) How many relationships have perished due to an offence? Remember we all have sinned and fall short of God’s glory (Romans 3:23) This year, give grace to those who have offended you, and see restoration like you never thought possible, when we ask for forgiveness from these people
The third area for reconciliation is regarding: Comparison
There are far too many of us looking to our left or right, rather than up. If we cannot celebrate those next to us, then looking up is the only way. God sees our hearts (1 Samuel 16:7) and therefore, the mask we wear needs to be torn down. The enemy has stolen our joy because we are comparing ourselves rather than celebrating others victories. We want to be seen rather than realising we are unique, therefore there is no comparison because God made us to be individual, not cloned.
2019 will see a double portion of peace poured out into our lives, in order to no longer compare. We do not need to worry about who is on the left or right, because God is placing you on His path – so look straight ahead (Proverbs 4:25-27) and forgive yourself for not realising who you truly are…
And since we are his children, we are his heirs. In fact, together with Christ, we are heirs of God’s glory. But if we are to share his glory, we must also share his suffering. Romans 8:17
2019 is the Year for Reconciliation because it’s the year that love will be shown across all of our relationships. We are God’s children and He never professed our walk would be easy, as mentioned above, but let’s focus on Jesus’ ways, to walk in God’s glory, rather than walking in darkness, the way the enemy has tried to hide from us.
The veil has been removed…
