2018 has been one for the books for my family…
Has it been easy? Absolutely not, but it’s been a year of “testing” our faith, and ultimately, being obedient to God.
The Bible talks a lot about moving forward towards our goals and walking by faith, but the Scripture in 2 Corinthians 13:5 reminded me this morning that we need to “test out” our faith as well.
To call yourself a Christian is one thing but to have that deep desire to be transformed by Christ, is quite another!
I have always mildly joked that we need to “be careful about what we pray for” because the desires of our hearts (if we are walking with God) are God-given. Therefore, when God asks us to step out into these dreams, are we ready – no matter what?
2018 has been a steppingstone for the Brand’s, a steppingstone for what is to come.
It’s been a year of transition…progression…and transformation. All three of us have been on an individual journey that has been in unison with each other, but through that, we have been able to encourage and love one another, through the good, the bad, and the ugly.
2018 has shown us that there are no limitations in God’s Kingdom. No fear – just love. Nothing is classed as a failure – just growth.
I want to encourage us all to reflect on the past year…
Are we actually walking with God?
Have we stepped out in faith, and have trusted God for what is to come? Are we thanking Him for His goodness?
Celebrate 2018 – no matter if it’s only been small wins or massive life-changing experiences, but let’s reflect today on whether we have ultimately had genuine faith this year
Examine yourselves to see if your faith is genuine. Test yourselves. Surely you know that Jesus Christ is among you; if not, you have failed the test of genuine faith. 2 Corinthians 13:5
