God is always with us but the question is, do we listen?
Reading James this morning, put things into perspective for me. James isn’t one to hold back with Gods truths and the scripture below really challenged me.
James 4:4 “Anyone who chooses to be friend of the world becomes an enemy of God.”
What is the first thing you do when you wake up?
Say hello to loved ones? Look on Facebook or Instagram? Read the word of the day on YouVersion? There is nothing wrong with any of those things when you are putting God first but being honest, does God have to bring you to your knees to get your attention? When do you set aside quality time with Him?
We need to humble ourselves before God. Nothing can be a substitute for spending quality time with Him in prayer, and it shouldn’t take life’s challenges for us to want to be near Him. Jesus set time aside to pray with God (Luke 5:16) and therefore, we need to as well.
If you want to get God’s vision for your life and hear God’s voice, then you need to meet with him daily.
