As a typical child, I remember sulking at my Parents to make them “pay” when they said “no” to me. I feel we can do the same with God when something doesn’t go our way.
Imagine if we thanked God for His goodness and as Paul said, learn to be content in all circumstances? That no matter what you were facing, there would be no expectation on God to “perform” but we would love Him, because of what He has already done for us?
There are so many people in this world that want to change their lives by running away from it all. However, our prayers shouldn’t fluctuate with the circumstances we face.
I now understand that when we do what God asks, it is easier to be joyful and thankful with what I do have, rather than trying to always look at the things I want.
This means I am grateful and not wanting a permanent vacation from my life.
