This letter is from Paul, a slave of Christ Jesus, chosen by God to be an apostle and sent out to preach his Good News. Romans 1:1
Do you know what I love about Paul? He was bold with what God has called him for. This letter may have been the first piece of Christian literature that the Roman believers had seen. Written to both Jewish and Gentile Christians. They do not have what we know as the New Testament and therefore, it required faith and determination to circulate the Gospel, from the Apostles.
I have lost count at the number of times, of when asked about my God-given dreams I would give half the story, as I was always worried about what others might think.
God challenged me on this around four months ago. He simply asked the question, “Who have I CALLED YOU to be?” and then He gave me a scripture, that I was not to look to man but to Him (Galatians 1:10) – this has changed my life forever.
Our first assignment is easy – to put Christ first but what God asks of each of us to become, has the ability to define who you are as an individual but also to shape the world, so heaven does come down. There is no time for us to sit on the fence. We should be bold in our faith but remember that in all things, to love others as Christ loves us.
…I am a disciple of Christ, with a prophetic voice to shape the world. To empower nations by preaching the Gospel and freeing all, to walk in their God-given purpose.
Who are you called to be?
