Scripture is an everlasting; overflowing; inexhaustible treasure that cannot be emptied.
In today’s society, I feel that monetary worth has a far greater impact on what we strive for on a day-to-day basis. This saddens me.
We live in an era where the socially accepted (and those looked up-to from the younger generations) are those that can spend ridiculous amounts of money on a night out or what attire they wear, from the latest fashion lines…but for what purpose?
Even I realise, that I can get drawn into the Media’s perceptions of what is right or wrong for my life and yet when it comes down to the crux of it…I seem to be asking myself…
What do I want to be known for?
Don’t get me wrong; I like the nice things in life but I have come to realise that I AM richer and have a more abundant life – when I submerge myself in Gods word and receive spiritual growth from my “treasure book”.
Learning scripture and opening the treasures intended for me, are so much more rewarding.
It brings a peace that leaves me feeling like I have more to offer this world; than buying a round of drinks or expensive shoes!
